Initialization

Important

These tutorials assume that you are comfortable working with ROS2. This tutorial is for the pre-configured steamdeck controllers provided by MYBOTSHOP GmbH. This works in conjunction with the software provided for MYBOTSHOP robots.


  1. Confirm that the Steam Deck is connected to the robot’s WiFi access point.

    ■ This process is automated.

    ■ Press and hold the button for 3 seconds until you feel the controller vibrate, then repeat the action for 3 seconds. This step is necessary to reactivate the mouse function on the Steam Deck.

  2. Ensure the robot is powered on and functioning.

  3. Simply tap the Joystick Launcher icon on the screen to activate the controller for the robot.

    ■ Avoid opening multiple instances of the Joystick Launcher to prevent the generation of unwanted nodes.

    ■ Press - - - icon if the mouse stops working/freezes when launching the Joystick Launcher.

  4. Tap once on the RViz2 Launcher icon to visualize the robot.
